Like the Web wasn't enough...

You can now download Google's latest temptation - which puts them in charge of your computer's desktop and files (searching, that is).

It's called Google Desktop v.5.

I just installed it on my new Vista laptop, which bumped the default Vista sidebar (which was nice, but not 'Google-nice').

Enjoy this latest freebie from Google.

The features of new GDS are fine, anyway it caused me a big trouble when its Outlook plugin made error in Outlook messaging interface. (I'm using Outlook 2003 SP2).
Finally I had to rollback to previous GDS version.
Be careful upgrading to GDS 5!
