Unlike many topics which have hundreds, thousands, or even millions of pages of information related to them, there are some kinds of information that are definitive in nature.
For example, when you want a map of a particular city, 1 good map will do. You don't need millions of maps - a map is a map. Or when you want to get movie showtimes for your area, you only need to see results from 1 source - one source isn't going to give you any more info than the other - showtimes are showtimes.
For a while now, search engines such as Google and Yahoo have integrated what are know as search shortcuts into their search engines, giving you quick access to these definitive types of info (maps, movie showtimes, movie reviews, stock quotes, traffic reports, etc.). Unfortunately, to use these search shortcuts, you typically need to know some special syntax to enter into Google or Yahoo's search box.
You don't want to have to worry about special syntax - you just want results! With Search Automator Pro, results are what you get.
Search shortcuts have been integrated into the Search Shortcuts panel, so that you have once-click access to all sorts of useful information:

- Enter an area code to find the city it belongs to
- Enter a city to get current gas prices
- Enter a zip code to get a map, traffic report, or weather
- Enter a ticker symbol to get stock quotes
- Enter a sports team to get current scores
- more...
This is more of a convenience feature for Search Automator Pro's users.
Look for more, new, power-feature previews this week.
As always, I encourage you to get your hands on the current version of Search Automator while you can get it at its current price. Current owners get the upgrade for free, and the price goes up the day I release Search Automator Pro.
Hi,
This whole new "pro" version looks great from the screenshots. If there was one small constructive criticism I would make, it would be not to forget the UK. So many good products in the States centre on the States eg a silly example: Zipcodes rather than postcodes.
It looks great. I look forward to the finished product.
Hello,
The Pro version will have *some* multi-national functionality - as much as I can support as a one-man business.
It won't be perfect, but it's a start. :)
