Enhanced Image Searches - Search Automator Pro Preview

Using Search Automator to find images has always been an easy, fun, and eye-opening experience.

This experience has been enhanced several ways within Search Automator Pro (click for larger image):

Search Automator Pro - Image searches

4 new image search targets have been added to the Image Search category. These include:

  • Ask image searches - Searches images indexed by ask.com. A whole new image resource.
  • Museum images - Confines your image search to images found on the best museum sites online, such as the Smithsonian Institution (and others). This allows you to quickly discover a number of quality historical images and artwork available online.
  • Black & white image search - Color is nice, but sometimes you simply want a great black & white or grayscale image. This new search target allows you to confine your search to black & white/grayscale images on Google Images, Yahoo Images, and MSN Images.
  • Animation searches - Looking for animated images? This search target allows you to confine your search so that the only results that are returned are animated images.

In addition to these new search targets, the Image Suggest search target (which current Search Automator users love) has been enhanced with additional suggested keywords such as, Illustration, Cartoon, Comic, Comics, Gallery, Galleries, Watercolor, Sketch, and others.

Current users of Search Automator know how useful the Image Suggest search target can be. For those of who aren't familiar with it, it simple takes your main image search keyword, such as lion, and automatically appends any number of useful keywords to it to return unique image results. Thus, a search for lion becomes a search for lion Illustration, lion Cartoon, lion Watercolor, lion Sketch, and more.

You'd be amazed at the great images you'll discover when using this feature.

Remember, if you haven't done so already, grab your copy of Search Automator version 1 right now, while you can still get it at the current price. Version 1 owners get the Pro version for free.

Look for more previews next week, and I hope you're enjoying them, and are getting excited about the power I'm about to put into your hands. :)

Posting Guidelines - Please Follow The Rules!

I am happy to provide this commenting feature to enable discussion of the articles posted. In fact, I appreciate and encourage you to participate.

Like everything else I put my name on, I hold this site to a very high standard. What you say in your comments reflect indirectly on me. Therefore, please be aware of the following guidelines/rules for posting your thoughts.

After familiarizing yourself, please post away! :)

Keep it Clean.
Foul and offensive language is not only moronic and childish, but any posts containing it WILL be deleted!
Play Nice.
Posts containing personal attacks of any kind will be deleted. If you disagree with someone's opinion, provide an opposing one, without attacking the person. For example, "Derek, your stance on eating doughnuts will harm future generations." Not, "Derek, you're an idiot, and your stance on eating doughnuts is the dumbest thing I've ever heard..."
Religion and Politics .
Once again, since this site carries my name, posts containing religious and/or political views (nice or not) will be deleted.
Stay on Topic - Where Possible.
I know it's easy to get off on another tangent, and it's not really that big of a deal, but try to confine your comments to the discussion at hand. :)
Add Value.
If you're going to say something, please make it as useful as you can.
Ownership.
By choosing to post here, you understand that as owner of this site, I reserve the right to freely make use of the content within your comment, without first obtaining your permission. Otherwise, comment content belongs to its perspective poster.
