Microsoft's Answer To Blogging - Do You Want It?

Realizing the extreme popularity of blogs, and their potential to draw eyeballs/traffic, Microsoft last night finally threw their hat into the blogging arena by announcing MSN Spaces, their own blogging service.
At first glance, I have to say that they seem to have done a pretty nice job. Very advanced for version 1.
That being said, it really seems geared for non-business use (which I imagine was their goal). It has a lot of features geared toward sharing and doing stuff you probably would do in a business environment.
If you're looking to run a business blog, I'd definitely look to using something else, such as Blogger, Moveable Type, WordPress, Expression Engine, or something similar. But if you're wanting a nice blog that you can share with your family and friends, MSN Spaces might be the way to go.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, here's some resources for more information:
- First, Robin Good has posted a pretty thorough review of the new service that highlights many of its features.
- If that's not enough, you can watch this video of some of the Microsoft developers who created the service explain its features and how they can be used.
