A Writing Interface For Blogging

Permenant Link To: A Writing Interface For Blogging

If you regularly post to a blog, you may want to check out this great tool I found that acts as an easy, yet powerful, post creation/editing tool that you use like a word processor.

It's called Blogjet

Blogjet is downloaded, installed, and sits on your computer. When you're ready to post an entry to you blog, you start Blogjet (I use a quicklink on my taskbar), which opens with an empty document 'canvas', ready for your literary masterpiece.

Blogjet's toolbar provides all the standard formatting tools, such as:

  • Bold
  • Italic
  • Underline
  • Font color
  • Indenting
  • Alignment options
  • Image insertion
  • Hyperlink creation
  • And my favorite, instant emoticons!

Want to tweak the HTML in your post? No problem, Blogjet provides a code-editing window so you can hack away to your hearts content!

When you're ready to post your entry, hit the Post button, and away it goes! Blogjet even has the ability to allow you to edit previous posts!

This thing is easy, useful, and real pleasure to use.

Blogjet works with most Blogging platforms, including Blogger, Moveable Type, Typepad, and others.

Interesting! To be honest I hate logging into a website to blog. Much better using a desktop app. The other popular one is W.Bloggar. I use it a lot. May not be as cute looking as this one but does pretty much the same thing and its free :-)

Yeah, I can't stand logging into Blogger either. It's a pretty slow process.

With Blogjet, I can begin writing in less than 2 seconds - when the urge hits me.

I love it!

Posting Guidelines - Please Follow The Rules!

I am happy to provide this commenting feature to enable discussion of the articles posted. In fact, I appreciate and encourage you to participate.

Like everything else I put my name on, I hold this site to a very high standard. What you say in your comments reflect indirectly on me. Therefore, please be aware of the following guidelines/rules for posting your thoughts.

After familiarizing yourself, please post away! :)

Keep it Clean.
Foul and offensive language is not only moronic and childish, but any posts containing it WILL be deleted!
Play Nice.
Posts containing personal attacks of any kind will be deleted. If you disagree with someone's opinion, provide an opposing one, without attacking the person. For example, "Derek, your stance on eating doughnuts will harm future generations." Not, "Derek, you're an idiot, and your stance on eating doughnuts is the dumbest thing I've ever heard..."
Religion and Politics .
Once again, since this site carries my name, posts containing religious and/or political views (nice or not) will be deleted.
Stay on Topic - Where Possible.
I know it's easy to get off on another tangent, and it's not really that big of a deal, but try to confine your comments to the discussion at hand. :)
Add Value.
If you're going to say something, please make it as useful as you can.
Ownership.
By choosing to post here, you understand that as owner of this site, I reserve the right to freely make use of the content within your comment, without first obtaining your permission. Otherwise, comment content belongs to its perspective poster.
Have Fun .
Enjoy participating!
